Something that is direly important to Sewerbound Threads is home. Among all the hardships of real life, home is always there, warm, and unjudging. One of the warmest things in any community is its music scene. From local country stars, to Memphis punk bands, Tennessee is full of overlooked gems. Today, we bring you a small list of up and coming artists, and possibly even a few new favorites.

SHUTEYE - THE FUTURE OF INDIE PUNK?

Shuteye, an up and coming band from Nashville, fills their concerts with beautiful guitar riffs, bass that's just right, all wrapped up with a melancholic vocal delivery to create a band that you will never forget. Our personal favorite song is Porch Dog, but their new single, High Horse, is a close second. Catch them at DRKMTTR in Nashville, February 4th, 2025.

Would meld well with fans of: Title Fight, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, and Stereo Christ.

Justen Harden - Good Old Warm, Classic Country

Justen Harden is a country artist I can only describe as a dying breed. With a soulful, baritone voice, he fills the room with a feeling of home. Hailing from Georgia, now residing in Nashville, the country highlight that is Justen Harden does both wonderful covers, as well as amazing original music, with tons of classics for any country fan.

Our personal favorite song is Dusty Old Radio, but of course, Perfect is a close second.

Would meld well with fans of: Josiah and the Bonnevilles, Jesse Welles, and Dylan Gossett.

GOUGED OUT - MARSHALL COUNTY MALEVOLENCE

The only way we can describe GOUGED OUT is with their own tagline. With low gutturals, amazing high screams, blended together with amazing basslines and crazy drumwork, this local band has the stock to sit among the top. Hailing from Lewisburg, this band causes pits that you will feel the next morning, check them out on February 1st, at the Arcane Workshop in Nashville. Our personal favorite song is "ROAD KILL" but the more recent single "Cell Block" is gaining on it.

Would meld well with fans of: Kublai Khan TX, Snuffed On Sight, and Knocked Loose.

[Tribute] NEGRO TERROR - THE VOICE OF MEMPHIS

Formed by the late Omar Higgins, Negro Terror is a beautiful combination of the souths willing to fight, and how our communities will always band together to do so. Dubbed "The Voice Of Memphis" and still maintaining the title to this day. Omar Higgins, and his bandmates are still inspiring local activism, leaving a lasting impression on the world and his community. Omar Higgins will be fondly remembered in the southern punk scene forever.
